Author Guidelines

General rules:

The «Translational medicine» journal accepts only original research papers, that have not been published before, are in the scope of journal and have scientific significance. We ask author to submit manuscript in doc/docx format, use double line spacing, font Times new Roman in size 12, include line and page numbering.

The following documents are required to manuscript processing:

  1. Cover letter from the organization, stated how the manuscript meets journal criteria, brief description of results and explanation of its novelty.
  2. Conflict of interest signed by all co-authors.
  3. Statement if the manuscript is the part of PhD-thesis, if so the supervisor should sign it.
  4. Please provide the list of three (or more) potential peer reviewers for your manuscript, including title, full name, email, and full contact information. These should be experts in their field of study, who will be able to provide an objective assessment of the manuscript. Any suggested peer reviewers should not have published with any of the authors of the manuscript within the past 5 years and should not be members of the same research group. If applicable, excluded reviewers could be mentioned.

Preparation of manuscript:

Manuscript should contain the following sections:

  • Title and author list
  • Abstract
  • Key words
  • Body text
  • Acknowledgements
  • References
  • Figure legends
  • Tables
  • Figures
  1. «Title and author list». Title should clearly reflect the content of the manuscript and have a reasonable length. The author list includes all those who contributed to the work. To index authors use surname and initials. Entire information about all authors should be provided below (titles, affiliations, e-mail address for corresponding author).
  2. «Abstract» и «Key words». Abstract should summarize all important results and conclusions of the manuscript. For original research paper it should be structured and contain following sections: importance, objective, materials and methods, results, conclusion. Abstract should be no longer 200 words, max 6 key words.
  3. «Body text». The main content of manuscript. List of abbreviation is provided before the body text and includes all abbreviations used more then three times. Body text should be structured: background, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. Use SI units, please unsure all special characters are embedded in the text.
  4. «Acknowledgments». This section should mention any person that are not listed as co-authors but contributed to the research or writing of the manuscript. All funding sources have to be stated in this section.
  5. «References». Every reference cited in the text should be present in the reference list and vice versa. Use of references in abstract is highly non-recommended, if it can’t be avoided give them in full. Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Authors should follow Vancouver citation style. References should be numbered according to order of appearance in the text and with usage of square brackets in the text.

  1. «Figure legends». Figure, graph and table legends should be concise and included in the text body, not in the figure files.
  2. Preparing figures, graphs, and tables. Figures, graphs, and tables should be provided as separate files, not embedded in the manuscript file. Each figure (tiff), graph (tiff), and table (doc/docx) should be submitted as separate file and numbered according its occurrence in the text of manuscript. Individual figure file should be in optimal size (resolution at least 300 dpi) and does not exceed 10 Mb.

All images must be clear and legible. Lines, symbols, and letters must be sharp, smooth, and complete. Arial font should be used.

We encourage submitting of black and white images always when it is possible.
